Celebrating our three year anniversary this month, Serendipity Care and Support’s domiciliary care are happy to announce that their new office on New Road Porthcawl, has now been open a year on the 12.12.17 and has grown from strength to strength.
Managing Director, Steve Cosslett says: “Our domiciliary care has grown extensively in the last three years. Our main priority is that the care we provide is of the highest standard.”
From humble beginnings, Serendipity opened 6 years ago, from an idea generated by Managing Director, Steve Cosslett and Clinical Director/ Registered Mental Health Nurse Sian Penpraze.
After working as a mental health nurse for over 30 years, Sian Penpraze decided she wanted to contribute to an area, she believed, needed the extra support, this lead to the couple opening a care home in 2011, for young adults with schizophrenia.
“The idea was to provide a safe, secure and homely environment for the individuals, which I felt would enhance their mental wellbeing.” Sian says.
“Our domiciliary branch came about a few years later when social services approached us and asked if we would consider branching into domiciliary care. This allowed us to extend our services into the community for people who need the support.”
Serendipity’s domiciliary care provide a wide range of personal and domestic care services, which are designed to help people who struggle with day-to-day living, and covers many areas including,Maesteg, Bridgend, Porthcawl, North Cornelly, Pen Coed, Brackla and Pyle.
“Our carer’s are trained to the highest standard under the guidance of our manger Tracey Wyllis, guaranteeing that you are getting someone you can trust with your care.” Steve says.
“Our website is currently being updated, but all of our information including all of our services, carer’s training and testimonials will be available to be viewed online in the next couple of weeks.”
